Embarking on this farming venture seems to be the next natural step in my long involvement and work with food, an avocation which has sparked my unquenchable curiosity for nurturing the variables in a growing organism, my dismay for industrialized agriculture and its decimation of culture and tradition, as well as my desire to practice and instill a self-sufficient lifestyle. As a farmer, I am interested in incorporating these passions - food, science, and human integrity among others - into a working livelihood. I am tired of sitting around, reading about possibilities, and hearing bad news on the radio; I want to be part of the source, efficient, educated, productive, and experienced. I want to Implement my education and experience on land of my own, a plot that I will share with vegetation, animals, my partner and the community around me.
